Nautican Foundation's 8th annual Summer Soiree was held at The Nantucket Whaling Museum on August 8, 2015. The event raised awareness and funds for Palliative & Supportive Care of Nantucket. Local band Perfect Day and DJ Trey Kiendl provided musical entertainment with upbeat covers and electronic beats. Guests danced underneath the museum's giant whale skeleton and sipped on cocktails, beer and wine provided by Cisco Brewers and Stop & Shop. Light bites were provided by Dean Miller at Fusion of Flavor Catering Co. Highlights included sunset on the roofdeck and a fireworks display after dark. On July 26, 2014, the 7th annual Summer Soiree raised awareness and funds for Nantucket Community Sailing. The event was held at the brand new Nantucket Community Sailing Boat Barn, a facility built to house and repair NCS's sailboat fleet. Local band Perfect Day and DJ Goody provided musical entertainment in the form of upbeat covers and electronic beats. Guests danced amongst neon lights and sipped on cocktails, beer and wine donated by Cisco Brewers and Stop & Shop and enjoyed light bites by Dean Miller Catering Co. Sail to Sable dressed the women of the event committee and other generous sponsors included Harborview Place, One Orange, Sail Loft, J. Summer Soiree 2013 to benefit Nantucket Community Sailing was held on Saturday, July 20 at the Ocean Wings Hangar at Nantucket Memorial Airport. The 6th annual event, at the most unique venue to date, attracted Nantucket locals and visitors alike. Animal Years band and DJ LayZBoy entertained the crowd in front of a backdrop of Nantucket Community Sailing videos on a huge blow-up screen and kept everyone moving with a mix of covers and original songs. Attendees enjoyed an open bar sponsored by Cisco Brewers and Clement Rhum and passed hors dóeuvres by Dean Miller Catering Co. Summer Soiree 2011 to benefit Nantucket Boys & Girls Club was held on Saturday, July 21 under a tent on the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club playing field. Freeballin' kept the crowd dancing all night with everyone's favorite covers. Later in the evening, Joshua Tree, a U2 cover band and island favorite, came on stage for a surprise performance. Summer Soiree 2010 to benefit Sustainable Nantucket was held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 under a tent in the cornfields at Moors End Farm. Orange Crush band kept the crowd on the dance floor with 80's music all night long while attendees enjoyed beer, wine and cocktails, and hors dóeuvres by Simply with Style Catering. Nantucket-based artisans showcased and sold their products and a silent auction offered items donated by generous local businesses.
Summer Soiree 2009 to benefit International Fund for Animal Welfare was held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at The Whaling Museum. Nantucket local Billy Voss played live music for the first portion of the event and then got behind the turntables to get the crowd moving. Guests mingled underneath the Whaling Museum's giant whale skeleton while enjoying cocktails by Cisco Brewers and light bites by Dean Miller Catering Co.
